27.05.11 (Graham Todd et al.) We eventually saw at least four Hobbies together, possibly five, over WP. We also had nice views of Turtle Dove and located a Twayblade on the Canal Tow Path to the metal platform (Southern Canals).

Also Fox wading into water and stealing eggs and 3 Roe Deer.

Goole Moor 6 Marsh Harrier (4 Cream Crown, 1 imm male 1 adult male), 11 Ringed Plover, 2 Little Ringed Plover, 8 Dunlin, 3 Redshank, 3 White Wagtail, several hundred Swift. 2 Little Grebe Will Pits, 4 Tufted Duck, 1 Hobby, only 2 Cuckoo, also 4 Red Deer on Goole Moor and 1 Grey Heron at paraffin works.

13.05.11 (Paul Leonard) entering from Crowle and moving onto Thorne as far as tower and back. c20 + Greylag and one brood, 1 Shelduck, c10 Gadwall, 5 Shoveler, c10 Teal, 4 Tufted Duck, 2 Little Grebe Will Pits Scrape, 2 Marsh Harrier Shoulder o’ Mutton area, 2 Kestrel, 1-2 Water Rail calling, Main canal, W of OT, 1 Snipe 'chipping' NW of OT, Cuckoo several calling, 15-20 Swift N of FR, 2-3 Tree Pipit singing, Crowle Moor, 5 Garden Warbler. Blackcap numerous, especially around Will Pits Wood, Compound, Warping Drain, Bailey Bridge area. 5 singing Grasshopper Warbler, Sedge Warbler numerous along drains, probably c15 singing, Reed Warbler similar to above but lesser numbers.
