Birding Site Guide
This site was reached by taking the 05.00 bus from Pochutla towards Oaxaca and getting off at km 160. This took about 2 and half hours. From km 160 I birded along the main road heading n and turned left onto a logging road after a km or so. The gate was shut but it was easy to walk around the edge. The first day I went along the road for about 2km and the second for about 5km. The habitat was pine forest or mixed pine and oak and the altitude was between 2,100-2,500m. White-throated Jay has been seen along this road but I did not see it. I saw 57 species including 7 lifers.
