Birding Site Guide

This reserve is well signed off the main Quito road at KM74. Accommodation is being built, and there is already an operating cafe with excellent hummingbird feeders. This small reserves forest adjoins other much larger areas of forest and birding is good. There are trails through the forest, one leading steeply up to a 60m waterfall. It is one of the best sites to look for Black Solitaire (only site maybe) and Glittering Green Tanager.
