Birding Site Guide

We took this trip also with Guyra Paraguay to help with a waterbird census. We drove long distances and saw most birds from the car. Buses do seem to pass through the good birding areas but infrequently. Pilar has several places to stay and eat. We stayed at the Hotel Apart Liza for G40,000 per person. Much of the area is wetlands with lakes and flooded fields. There are also good areas with long grass and some gallery forest. I saw 102 species including 2 lifers.
