Located between Abbey Town and Newton Arlosh off the B5307, from the bend near Raby Grange. The saltmarshes are along the mouth of the River Waver just E of Grune Point. Other marshes here are Salt Coates and to the NW Skinburness Marsh and the NE Newton Marsh.

Pink-footed Geese are the attraction here with several thousand present each winter, often with them are a few Barnacle Geese. It is best to park at the side of the road just after the bridge with a bend on, and view the fields and saltmarsh around here.
