Birding Site Guide

This park is situated on the w side of the A183, at Roker on the n side of the River Wear. This municipal park is not big and has formal gardens but also many mature native trees and shrubs and a natural area all providing much needed food and shelter for hungry migrants. There is a landscaped ravine running seawards under the road, which is well worth a look. Paths are tarmacked.
