I was fortunate enough to spend time Costa Rica's Monteverde Cloud Forest (rainforest) about 12 years ago and ask you to help me support an NGO working to protect that important, beautiful and amazing part of the world.
Facebook is having a giving challenge contest and there are about 50,000 causes on facebook all vying for the prize. The Children's Eternal Rainforest, amazingly is in 50th place of those thousands. I know many of you are not facebook members but might want to consider joining. This is the first time I have added an application to my account that I have had for about a year as I feel this is a very important cause to promote/support.
If you are not able to support the Children's Eternal Rainforest financially at this point just adding the application to your account and inviting others is very important. The group has grown from 0 to more than 150 members in just 2 weeks. This is great progress! We've raised $1,095 in just that short amount of time, money that will go directly towards helping preserve the priceless rainforest lands that shelter endangered animals and that help convert greenhouse gas CO2 into oxygen that we can breathe.

P.S. Everyone who gets at least 10 people to donate $10 (or whose recruits have contributed a total of $100 or more) will be given a free signed copy of Kristin Serafini and Rachel Crandell's new book about the Children's Eternal Rainforest called The Forever Forest: Kids Save A Tropical Treasure when it comes out.
