Birding Site Guide

OCEANIA DEFINITION USED ON BSG

There are several interpretations of which landmasses belong in the Oceania bio-geographical region, on Birding Site Guide I use the definition of all non-continental landmasses and islands of the Pacific Ocean.  So I do not include Malaysia or Indonesia (and minor islands) which are on the Asian continental shelf or Australia, New Zealand and New Guinea (and minor islands) which are on the Australasian continental plate. The list below is the areas I consider within Oceania.
