Birding Site Guide
This path makes a good few miles (3.6km) walk along the canal and up to a community wooded areas. Park by the Canal Tavern in Thorne (see grid ref above) and follow the Stainforth and Keadby Canal w to Stainforth. The birds are generally just commoner species, including Kingfisher. The site has however had Waxwing, Marsh Harrier and Firecrest in the past.
