Take the A30 to Penzance, at the roundabout before turning into town, instead bear left (SE) on the B road, and either park by the shops by the railway or along the sea front (free) or carry on a short way to the parking area half a km away just off the main road. From where you park, bird from the coast road, into the reedbeds. There are some short paths around the reserve at the E end. Marazion is noted for the regularity of the passage Aquatic Warblers, though they seem to be becoming less frequent. It can turn up good waders and the odd crake too.

Although it can be very busy during the tourist season, the beach towards St Michael’s Mount and the other way is worth a look for waders such as Sanderling, Dunlin, Ringed Plover and Turnstone. They are often there even when it is relatively busy and a steady scan should find them.
