Birding Site Guide
This reserve is located north of Prague between the towns of Decin, Libere and Ceska Lípa. The reserve is mainly wet grassland and marsh with several pools of various size, 2 being quite large. The main attraction of the reserve is the Common Cranes, White-tailed Eagles and Red-crested Pochard and other wetland birds such as Spoonbill and waders on passage. Just off this state reserve are rocky outcrops surrounded by broadleaf forest where other species can be sought. Other birds that may be encountered in and around the reserve include Red-footed Falcon, Peregrine Falcon, Eagle Owl, Wryneck, Woodlark and Red-breasted Flycatcher.
