BET SHEAN FISHPONDS

Another excellent site for the full range of water and marsh birds, from crakes and ducks to tern and kingfishers.

WADI AMMUD

This steep sided lush wadi with a stream running through has quite a good range of species, differing from the lush entrance to the drier higher ground, species include Cetti’s Warbler, Great Reed Warbler and Syrian Woodpecker, while evening visits scanning high up the cliff face may reveal Eagle Owl.

EL ROM
This stop is worth a hour to look for Calandra Lark.

ELIFELET

Not a well known birding site, we discovered it by accident when our minibus broke down. It was for us at least on that March day 13 years ago an excellent migration spot with Griffon Vulture, White Pelican, Lesser Spotted Eagle and White Storks passing in good numbers.
