Birding Site Guide
This site is a little further n (about 2km) of Roker Park (see account) on the e side of the A183. It comprises an area about 1.25km long of rough coastal grassland and dramatic eroded cliffs and rocks, with stacks and arches. There are some areas of planted native shrubs and a seawatching hide at the s end. Check the grass areas for pipits, larks and buntings, and when the weather is right (on shore e or ne winds) the seawatching can be very good. There are tarmac and worn hard packed mud trails throughout the area.
